Baker’s Krate is a Canadian subscription that sends you a box of delicious desserts once a month. The bakeries featured are all Canadian! Up until the fall, the company was owned and operated out of Winnipeg and featured a selection of great bakeries from that area. They have since changed ownership and now operate out of Toronto.

DEAL: Save 10% on your first month with coupon code SWEET.

Happy Easter! That can only mean one thing : chocolate!

Everything is well packaged to protect the goodies!

All the bakeries featured in this box have there little introduction.

A second card tells us a bit more about all the sweets we get to discover.

An in-depth ingredients list is also included for all of the items on the reverse. I appreciate that, it’s easier to avoid whatever could contain an allergen. Lucky for me, no peanuts to be seen! Awesome!

Cookies!!!

Mini Egg Easter Cookie. Drizzled with brightly coloured chocolate icing, they are soft and chewy with the crunch from the chocolate eggs. I love cookies, especially the soft ones. They are a nice twist on the chocolate chip cookies!

Cottontail Cookie Dough. Moist and sweet with a vanilla buttercream frosting. The frosting was ok, but the cookie dough was delightful!

Raspberry and Coconut Square. It wasn’t as flaky as it could have been, it looks like it was squished at some point. But it was deliciously coconutty (is that a word?) and the raspberry was great. That was mine, no one else in the house knows it existed. Totally my jam!

Chocolate Buttercream Egg. It says it was a twist on the Cadbury Cream Egg. I have no idea, it disappeared before I could take a closer look. The lucky taster said it was delicious and oh so creamy.

Malted Milk Fudge. I wish I didn’t share this one, I loved it! The fudge was perfectly melty and I love maltesers.

This was my first Bakers Krate and it was a hit in the house! Everything was tasty, delicious and I love that it came from local Ontarian bakeries. I enjoyed the variety of treats and that not everything was about chocolate even for an Easter’s box!
