Scentbird For Men is a monthly cologne and eau de parfum subscription. Each month, you get a thirty-day supply of your chosen cologne in a deluxe-size sprayer.

When you join you fill out a profile – including three of your favorite designer fragrances – then you make a wishlist of colognes you’d like to try. Your first month includes a case to hold your current cologne sprayer. You can add extra cases to an existing subscription for $12.95.

April is my third month as a Scentbird subscriber. The cologne comes with a case to hold it and a velvet pouch to put the case in. Stylish and practical! The case is sleek and is great for protecting your cologne, so it doesn’t spray by itself in a bag or something. You just twist it to spray.

Scentbird decants the cologne from the manufacturer’s bottle to a little glass vial with a 8 ml sprayer. The colognes are 100% authentic, and you save a lot of money because of the repackaging and single-month portioning. Simply put, this is cheaper than a full-size bottle, and a good way to try out cologne and find out what suits your taste.

There is a teaser card included to give you a peek at next month’s featured cologne! How exciting!

The back gives you more info about the featured scent next month. It describes the main notes of the fragrance – if you see your favorite component notes listed, it can be a great way to get ideas for your queue – what you receive the next month is determined by your queue. This is so simple and straight forward. I love their system.

There’s also a card that shows you how to work the vial and how to change what cologne you take with you. I was clueless about what to do my first time, so this was a big help. Now that it’s my third month, I feel like a cologne swapping boss 😎

My April selection was John Varvatos Vintage EDT.

This scent is light. When I sprayed it, I could only smell the tobacco, surprisingly. Once the cologne settled I could smell the wormwood and other notes. It has a sophisticated, sort of wood smell to it. Again, it’s pretty light once it settles. Top notes are wormwood, basil, rhubarb, quince, fennel, and pepper; Heart notes are juniper berries, lavender, cinnamon, jasmine, orris root, and green leaves; Base notes are tonka bean, tobacco, suede, patchouli, oakmoss, balsam fir, and woody.

Motto

Scentbird has done a good job again this month. They are one of my favorite subscriptions. The ability to choose any of their high-end colognes at a very reasonable price is wonderful. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to build up/add to their collection of scents!

FYI – there is no gender divide with this subscription – ladies can add men’s fragrances and vice versa, and you can share if you’d like, or get a second subscription if you find it impossible.
