BeautyFIX is a monthly beauty subscription box from DermStore.com. This subscription has changed quite a bit – in 2015 it changed its name from Blush Mystery Beauty Box, and now features more sample size than full-size items (but is still an amazing deal – it’s only $24.95!).
The information card has details on each item, along with pictures, and you often get a freebie sample in your box.
Everything in the February box! FYI, you can purchase this box through the end of the month and sometimes even a little longer. Unfolrtunately subscriptions are currently sold out, but you can purchase this as a one-time box for $34.95.
SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex (No Size – One Use Sample) I so wish there was more of this so I could really test it out – it uses optical diffusers to help improve under-eye appearance. However, it also claims to work to actually reduce circles: “flavonoids and synergistic peptides strengthens blood vessel walls, improves lymphatic drainage, and eliminates hemoglobin’s colored end-products to dramatically improve dark circles and puffiness.” It says after 12 weeks, so I suppose you just test it and make sure it doesn’t irritate your eyes and then spring for the full jar. Which is $58.20.
pur-lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum ($56.65) Who wouldn’t be excited about a full-sized pur~lisse?! Ok, there was a time when this brand showed up in every box, but I’ll take a full-size eye serum any day! (I was particularly excited about this one after the previous small sample). I have another full-size bottle of this and it was time for a replacement, I couldn’t be happier! The box is worth it just for this item!
LashFood Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer ($15.60) I always get excited about a good eyelash enhancer. This one is all natural (unlike, say Latisse, which is a prescription). This is a hate or love it product – and the perfect way to test it out.
glominerals Suede Matte Stick in Port ($16) Some subscribers received Punch! Suede was the perfect way to describe this – it glided right on, all buttery, but not wet (but not dry).
I was surprised by the color – I hadn’t expected it to be so berry-y. It’s gorgeous and perfect for me.
Nick Chavez Advanced Volume Hairspray ($9) I was happy to find a non-aerosol travel hairspray in my box. I’ve heard of Nick Chavez before but really haven’t used too many of his products, but this one looked interesting because it uses evening primrose, grapefruit, and spirulina – never heard of them in a hairspray before. It’s also got UV protectants in it, which are key if you have colored hair.
DS Laboratories Revita.COR – Hair Stimulating Conditioner ($11.57) Hello matching hair conditioner to last month’s shampoo – aren’t you weird to find in a subsequent box?
I have no idea if it really works but I’m going to try it out – despite the caffeine and synthetic wax in the ingredient list. Ladies with thinning hair really will try anything! The product says it stays on the scalp for 12 hours, and I’m guessing the wax keeps in the active ingredients and the caffeine is meant to open up the follicles.
Danielle Creations Gold-Plated Eyelash Curler ($9.99) This is really just a standard eyelash curler plated in 24k gold. I don’t know it’s the claimed ultimate in luxury but at least the price isn’t inflated.
The value for this month was really giant due to the pur~lisse – about $119 (not counting the first sample!). I suspect that subscriptions aren’t available just because this month was a well-curated edition with lots of value, a coveted product, and conditioner, which even I run out of!
