Scent Box is a monthly fragrance subscription service for men and women that sends a .27 ounce/8 ml bottle of your choice from over 750 scents, including 80 premium choices. They offer both a Standard ($13.95 a month) or Luxury ($18.95 a month) option and you can fill up your queue or be surprised by the scent of the month. You can also get more than one scent a month.

My scent arrived in this keepsake box.

I lifted the lid (which had a hidden magnetic closure) to find a thank you card. The flip side had a code to save 20% off the price of a full-size bottle of fragrance.

Scent Box sent a card stating that 5% of profits this month will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help find a cure.

The flip side of the card mentioned some facts about breast cancer.

My fragrance was nestled safely in a bed of foam padding, which kept it secure during shipping. The foam lifts out, in case you would like to reuse your box to hold doodads.

This month’s container had a pink ribbon on it! Each month you get a new container and this is a nice touch for October.

I removed the scent from the box and twisted the container and up popped the sprayer! The scent can be removed from the container. The fragrance was not listed on the actual perfume, but it was on the holder.

I received October’s scent of the month, Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Noir, a floral fruity gourmand with sweet juicy berries, a touch of caramel, and lots of sugar. It didn’t have much longevity on me but that makes it perfectly wearable for work.

Top notes of the composition await us with a juicy union of berries and mandarin, announcing the floral blend of honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine in the heart of the fragrance. The base closes with amber, caramel, vanilla and sandalwood.

According to the site, this fragrance has notes of berries, caramel, and honeysuckle, and is youthful and appropriate for fall!

One thing that I like about this site is that you can search for fragrances with a certain scent characteristic or by season, occasion, fragrance family, or personality.

It also lets you search by notes, so if you’re looking for a coconutty scent for your summer fragrance, it will give you several suggestions. Since Scent Box offers both Standard and Luxury scents, the more expensive choices are shown with a “premium” notation.

It still feels like summer here in Austin and this scent works well for this time of year, since I think sweet scents are perfect for warmer weather. I had fun looking through the brands and found several that were recently removed from a competitors site, such as Black Opium and Flowerbomb. The size was generous and my scent had a value of $12.16, which is a little under the cost of the subscription. I love fragrances and I switch them up often, so this subscription is a handy way to feed my ever-changing perfume preferences. Plus, I didn’t have to spend $76 on the full sized bottle, since I doubt I have ever used up a whole bottle of perfume in my life!

What do you think of this subscription? Let me know your favorite scent for fall in the comments!
