I found a card on top with my name on it! This month’s theme was Sakura, which means cherry blossom in Japanese.

The back of the card listed each product with a brief bio and suggested retail price. Bonus items vary from box to box so your treat may be different than mine based on answers you provide when you sign up. I found different info on their website, which mentioned there would be a bonus candle based on scent profile and a pearl bracelet for members of a certain sorority. Honestly, I’m not sure where they would have put another candle since this box was jam-packed. There was also a link to their Spotify playlist.

Everything was cushioned with paper squiggles. There were two glass items that weren’t wrapped in bubble wrap but luckily they survived the journey.

Everything in my box! This box was heavy when I picked it up.

Wicked Flame Pink Himalayan Salt Sakura Body Scrub ($38) was wrapped in plastic to keep it from leaking, which was good planning on their part since it was messy when I opened it up. I want to tell you that I cannot find these products online but this seems pricey for a salt-based scrub.

Most of the time these types of items come in glass but this was in a plastic container, which I prefer for use in the shower anyways. Baobab oil, pomegranate, Himalayan pink salt, and fragrance are in this container and it can be rubbed all over the body, but isn’t suggested for use on the face.

I used this in the shower and it smelled a bit like cherry Kool Ade (which I like!) and some type of floral. I rubbed it on and it worked well, however, I had a hard time rinsing it off. Usually this type of product either dissolves quickly or just runs off as soon as the water hits me but I had to actually work at rinsing it off since my body felt gritty. Weird. I was happy that I didn’t have to use a separate moisturizer.

Gardenia Soy Candle ($22.99) Wicked Flame’s candles are soy based since this box is considered vegan-friendly!

I know this box is full of florals this month but they are not my favorite scents, however, I thought this candle was a little sweet and it had a nice, soft scent as it burned.

Spring Blossom Soy Candle ($22.99) Yes, another floral scent, but this one reminded me of clean laundry!

These candles are supposed to burn around 80 hours, which I think is stretching it, it’s probably between 40-50 hours based on the amount of candle wax in the jar. The jars are very nice frosted glass with metal lids and I was very happy with them.

Sakura Wax Melts ($3.99) smell very similar to the body scrub, sweet and cherry and floral at the same time. My daughter said it smells like bathroom cleaner.

Just place a square or two into a wax burner and plug it in!

Dead Sea Salt ($18.99) can help you de-stress after a long day and may help relax muscles.

Just pour about half of the jar into a bathtub and soak away the day.

This also has a very floral scent and at this point I think I will pass it along to someone who will enjoy more than I can. Florals sometimes smell too much like bathroom sprays and I don’t care for the scent, but I have a friend who will love it.

Body + Hair Bars ($8.50 each) I enjoy using natural bar soaps, although I’ve never tried one on my hair.

Patchouli was my bonus item based on my survey answers.

The ingredients are all-natural and I thought it sudsed up well and rinsed cleanly away. I love the scent too!

I love the scent of natural Lavender and was so delighted to find that this smelled like the real thing and not that fake lavender floral scent from other companies.

The color comes from alkanet root and although I didn’t get to use this one yet, I expect it to be just as good as the Patchouli one!

Sakura Matcha Kit Kat You can grab these on Amazon but I will warn you they are probably not vegan. I found powdered milk in the ingredients in an online search. Of course, they fit the theme very well and while I prefer vegan beauty products I eat an omnivorous diet and I loved these candies, they are so much better than regular Kit Kats!

Overall, I was very pleased with my very first Candle + Spa Box by Wicked Flame! I love candles and natural beauty products so I am always happy to try new brands. I most enjoyed the items that had a natural scent, such as the soaps. The scents of the other items were very perfumey and similar to what you might find at Bath and Body Works. As for the value, some of the items seemed overvalued, and since they don’t have a shop to compare prices to, I would just take that with a grain of salt. I do think it’s a fair value for the price paid.

SNEAK PEEK: The theme for May’s box is Serenity and for June it is Libations!
